I haven’t even left before writing this review! We are staying in the shippen, a beautiful, perfectly equipped 2 bedroom cottage with a private hot tub! We are 2 couples with 2 young children and a dog and the house spacious and full of everything we need including a high chair and board games! The owners are lovely and welcoming and so are their dogs! The location is beyond idyllic with views over the beautiful Shropshire countryside! It’s full of character and charm with beautiful exposed beams and a toasty log burner! Plenty of parking, everything you need for cooking and lovely touches such as dressing gowns and slippers for the hot tub! Host was great with communication both prior and during our stay. A really lovely couple! I literally cannot find fault with anything, in fact we are already booking our next stay here!

Lovely peaceful stay at the paddock cottage, sheep right at the edge of our garden was a great bonus. The private pool was great and was always free with plenty sun loungers. Visit the fox for great food and a pleasant atmosphere, the boat Inn is also lovely and the navigation has a pool table, all dog friendly. Pur hosts were very welcoming, the dogs can bark at first but are all nice once they get over the initial meet and greet stage. 100% recommend you stay here!

Wonderful weekend in an idyllic setting and having a private hot tub was just an amazing bonus. The cottage was really spacious, clean and private. The hosts were so kind and helpful. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to get away and relax in the country. I will definitely return!

This is a fantastic self catering barn conversion. The rooms are really generous so it feels way more spacious than a normal two bed holiday cottage. |It’s been done with really good materials, great equipment provided in the kitchen, both …

Pros - When the heating and hot water worked, both were hot. There is good parking facilities onsite. Beautiful view of the paddock and it’s animals. Cons - Huge spiders and lots of biting flys inside the annex. Owners dog is aggressive towards other dogs. Bed is very small and uncomfortable. Owner is unhelpful and not welcoming. We stayed here for 3 weeks whilst building work was being carried out on our property. We never once felt welcome, more like we were imposing. Everything seemed too much trouble - the boiler breaking and the carbon monoxide detector alarm going off were two examples where she did not want help. The owner has a German shepherd who is wonderfully friendly towards people, is extremely aggressive towards other dogs, which caused a huge amount of stress. The paddock cottage served a purpose, but I would not stay again nor would I recommend this as a place to stay, in fact we returned home 3 days early as it just wasn’t a nice environment to live. Advice to the owners - Smile, say hello, be polite.

Both Sara and Phil welcomed me in and showed me the room for the night. The room was everything you would expect, clean and well laid out. I was asked what type of breakfast I would like for the following morning and what time I would like …
